The Ahupuaʻa is a traditional Hawaiian land system that extends from the mountains to the sea, integrating food production, water stewardship, governance, and community responsibility. The Nation of Hawai‘i is restoring this ʻāina-based system at Puʻuhonua O Waimānalo to rebuild ecological balance and self-sufficiency.
